So Last Century heads to Tooting this May!
We’re really excited to announce our first event in Tooting, south London on Sunday 20th May! Our venue is the fascinating White Eagle Club, situated on the Tooting and Balham border, just minutes walk from Tooting Bec and Balham underground stations. Sometimes referred to as ‘The Polish Club’, the building has an intriguing history, with links to 1960s gangland characters including the Kray twins. The Ballroom, a casino at the time will now, fittingly, host 40 hand-picked vintage traders!
Expect to find mid-20th century decor, lighting, furniture, homeware, kitchenalia, brocante, mid-century ceramics, original 1950s, 60s & 70s illustrations and prints, vintage French maps and educational charts, vintage clothing, accessories & jewellery, haberdashery, records, repurposed goods, and much more. We’ll have a small clutch of designer-makers as well, plus a local guest artist, displaying and selling their work.
Take a well-deserved break from your browsing and treasure-hunting by enjoying a cup of tea, coffee (or perhaps something a little stronger) and polish snacks at the White Eagle Bar, or treat yourself and your friends to a delicious Polish Sunday brunch or lunch in the White Eagle Restaurant
Entry to So Last Century Vintage & Retro Fair is £3*. Children under 16 go free. (Please note, there is no entry charge if you just wish to visit the restaurant or bar).
*Don’t forget, entry is just £2 if you follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, when you show your phone on the door.
