We’ve now been holding popular vintage markets for two years at Beckenham Place Mansion, a beautiful, unrestored, and relatively undiscovered, Georgian mansion house set in stunning parkland in south-east London.
On the day there’ll be a stunning, hand picked selection of 20+ top-quality vintage traders, in the Atrium, Drawing Room, Dining Room and outside. You can expect to find mid-century decor, lighting, homeware and furnishings, vintage travel posters, prints, antique maps and etchings, brocante, fashion, accessories, jewellery, and much more.
There’ll be street food outside plus excellent coffee by Perlant & Press and amazing brownies by Polly. The Mansion Cafe will also be open.
Several of the resident artists’ studios on the first floor will be open to visit, such as Sophia Lyons. Meet them, and see their wonderful work , some of which will be available to buy. Some of the artists on the the lower ground floor, such as Laura Cordery, will also be open.
Don’t forget to check out Know How You Sewing School in their studio on the ground floor, and Cigarette Records in their shop, on the lower ground floor. Owain will help you find what you’re looking for amongst the thousands of records he has in stock, and may introduce you to something you’ve never heard before!
And finally, not to be missed, is the fascinating Visitor Centre run by The Friends of Beckenham Place Park. Crammed with artefacts, maps, and documents, you can find out about the rich history of the Park.
So come along to our first event of the year in Beckenham and find lots of vintage treasures, explore the mansion and enjoy the beautiful park while you’re there!

We strongly recommend using public transport and/or walking to the event if possible, as the single carriageway access road to the Mansion can get very congested, particularly around midday. If you do prefer to arrive by car, there is limited parking available at the Mansion, although we advise avoiding the busiest period. Note that vehicle entry is only via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance (Sat Nav: BR3 1SY).
Alternatively, free on-street parking is available near to the Downham entrance on Old Bromley Road (Sat Nav: BR1 4LE), or on Crab Hill by Ravensbourne Station, (Sat Nav: BR3 5HE), from where the Mansion is an enjoyable 15 minute stroll across the Park.
The nearest cashpoint is at Waitrose near Beckenham Junction Station, a 15 minute walk away, so make sure you bring plenty of cash. Although many of our traders take cards these days, not all of them do.
