So Last Century Vintage Market at the Mansion returns to Beckenham Place Park on August Bank Holiday Monday for another great summer event to visit and enjoy! *
There’ll be an exciting selection of more than 35 of the best vintage traders, some you’ll be familiar with and several new ones too, outdoors and inside the Mansion. Expect to find affordably-priced mid-century furniture, lighting, homeware and ceramics, prints, antique maps and charts, brocante, salvage, fashion, accessories and lots more.
We’re delighted to be supporting the locally-based Refugee Cafe at the Market for the first time. They’ll have a stall outside - please visit them!
There’ll also be a range of street food vans outside serving delicious lunchtime food made to order, plus fantastic coffee by Beats & Grind and delectable brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb.
In addition, the excellent Mansion Cafe and Bar will be serving their tasty range of filled wraps plus craft beer, amongst other drinks, on a take-away service. The ice cream trike will also be out and about.
Our resident Market band, The Alvar Treefrogs, will be back with us again, serving up big slices of New Orleans jazz from the 1920s and 30s. They’ll be busking out on the grass from midday - don’t miss them!
Some of the resident artists will be opening their studios on the day. It’s a great chance to see their work, have a chat and buy some outstanding original artwork.
Call in to see our friends KnowHowYou Sewing School on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and find out about the various classes and courses they have to offer, and visit the Verso Vintage pop-up shop in the basement.
So make the most of the last Bank Holiday before the end of the year by coming along to Beckenham Place Park for lots of unique and unusual vintage things to buy, great food and drink and free entertainment. Explore the Mansion and the Homesteads, and enjoy the stunning parkland while you’re there!

The Contact Tracing system will continue to be in operation.
