After four months away from our home town, we’re ready to welcome in the Spring on Easter Monday with So Last Century’s Vintage Market at the Mansion at Beckenham Place Park!
Now in its ninth year at this stunning location, the Market will host an amazing collection of 50 of the best vintage traders around. Many are local, but some travel from as far away as Dorset and Yorkshire to be here!
Inside and around the Mansion you can expect to find mid 20th century furniture, lighting, homeware and ceramics, original posters, prints, books, records, antique maps and charts, French brocante, salvage, vintage clothes (including for children), and much more.
Most traders take card payments, and will deliver locally if you want to buy something big, like an dining table!
There’ll be delicious street food outside, including irresistible savoury and sweet crepes by Sarrasin, mouthwatering bao buns by You Bao, freshly cooked fish and chips by FishMyChips, spicy burritos from Route 66, great coffee by Coffee Vantastic and amazing brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb.
In addition, the excellent Mansion Bar and Cafe will be serving draft beer, hot drinks and snacks..
Several of the resident artists will have their studios open on the first and lower ground floors. It’s a great chance to see their work, have a chat and buy some outstanding original artwork.
Call in to see our friends KnowHowYou sewing school on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and find out about the various classes and courses they have to offer, and Verso Vintage shop in the basement.
Our resident Market band, The Alvar Treefrogs, will be back with us, busking with New Orleans jazz on the grass at the back of the Mansion.
So, come along on Easter Monday 21st April and find loads of unusual things to buy, explore the mansion and enjoy the beautiful park while you’re there.

If your GPS takes you elsewhere, try SE6 3PU instead, or use ///follow.skinny.fade
We recommend using the cheaper St George’s Road car park, near to Beckenham Junction Station, just a 12 minute walk away. Alternatively, there’s some on-street parking close to the Downham entrance on Old Bromley Road (Sat Nav: BR1 4LE) and near to Ravensbourne Station, (Sat Nav: BR3 5HE). Please respect local residents and other road users, and park considerately. The Mansion is an enjoyable 15 minute stroll across the Park from both these entrances.
