So Last Century Vintage Market at the Mansion is back at Beckenham Place Park on Saturday 30th October for another great event to visit and enjoy! *

There’ll be an exciting selection of more than 40 great vintage traders, some you’ll be familiar with and several new ones too, outdoors and inside the Mansion. Expect to find affordably-priced mid-20th century furniture, lighting, decor, homeware and ceramics, old radios, prints, antique maps and charts, brocante, salvage, clothing, accessories and lots more.

We’re delighted to be supporting the locally-based Create Without Borders at the Market for the first time. They’ll have a stall outside - please visit them and say hello!

There’ll also be a range of street food vans outside serving delicious lunchtime food, made to order, plus fantastic coffee by Big Bro Espresso and delectable brownies by Slate ‘n’ Crumb.

In addition, the excellent Mansion Cafe and Bar will be serving their range of filled wraps made to order, plus craft beer amongst other drinks on a take-away service.

Our resident Market band, The Alvar Treefrogs, will be back with us again, serving up big slices of New Orleans jazz from the 1920s and 30s. They’ll be busking in the afternoon outside - don’t miss them!

Some of the resident artists will be opening their studios on the day. It’s a great chance to see their work, have a chat and buy some outstanding original artwork.

Call in to see our friends KnowHowYou Sewing School on the Ground Floor of the Mansion and find out about the various classes and courses they have to offer. And don’t forget to have a rummage in Verso Vintage pop-up shop in the basement before you leave.

So make the most of the last day before the clocks go back by joining us at Beckenham Place Park for lots of unique and unusual vintage things to buy, great food and drink and free entertainment. Explore the Mansion and the Homesteads, and enjoy the stunning parkland while you’re there!

* Dependent on Local Authority approval and Government Covid restrictions at the time.

FREE ENTRY
Step-free entrances to Ground Floor rooms only, with level access throughout. Dogs welcome inside.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Safety
The safety and well-being of visitors and our traders is our utmost priority. These are the principal measures we’ll have in place on the day (subject to the health situation at the time):

  • Face coverings should be worn inside the Mansion.

  • Stalls indoors and outdoors will spaced slightly further apart than usual.

  • Contactless payments encouraged whenever possible

  • Hand sanitising stations will be in place at the main entrance, and elsewhere indoors and outside the building.

  • Toilets and high-frequency touch points sanitised regularly by Mansion cleaning staff..

  • Monitoring numbers of people entering and leaving the building, to allow social-distancing and prevent overcrowding.

  • There’ll still be a Contact Tracing system in place. You are encouraged to register your visit by using the NHS Covid-19 app on your phone to scan the Mansion’s QR code displayed at the entrance to the building (if you don’t wish to use the app, or your phone doesn’t support it, you can provide your name and phone number which we will retain on a written register for a maximum of 14 days).

  • Please don’t come if you feel unwell.

  • Please follow the latest Government restrictions whilst at the market.

  • Information about the Mansion’s Covid-19 measures can be found here
